I have a stock 2006 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. I am currently running 265/75/16 BFG all-terrains on the stock wheels. I want to buy some rims that are 16x9 with a -12 offset. I know that they are going to rub without a lift (lift isn't in the budget), but I am willing to cut the fender flares so that they don't rub. My concern is that they may cause my tires to rub the actual body.

Has anyone done this to a stock jeep? Did it work? Will it work?

I don't do any wheeling. I basically just drive from the bay to Tahoe and in the Tahoe snow a lot so I'm not worried about articulation or anything like that.

thanks in advance for the help.
