Looking at 18x9 Vision Se7en 18x9 +12 offset wrapped in 325/65r18

https://www.discounttiredirect.com/buy-wheels/vision-se7en

Currently running 285/70r17 on JL rubicon take-offs. Using this tool, it claims the new combo will stick out an extra 2" which is fine with me since I will be installing a set of mopar high-line fenders, which are wider than factory fenders. Website also claims the inside of the tire is 1/2" further away from suspension components but with the increase in wheel diameter, will I rub on control arms and/or torsion?

Those wheels work out to a 5.5" backspace.

Stock is 6.1" backspace (+44.45mm offset).

So that sticks you out 0.6" right off the bat.

Then you add another 1.5" because the wheel is a 9.0" wide vs. 7.5" for stock.

So now you're sticking out 2.1" farther.

Then your new tire is 40mm wider, so that puts 20mm of it on the outboard side. 20mm is roughly 0.8".

So now you're sticking out 2.9" farther.

So basically, if you take a tape measure, butt it up against the outer sidewall of your tire, and add 3 full inches, that'll show you where the new tire sidewall will sit on that new wheel.

I think you're going to find that 3" is actually quite a bit, and you'll have a lot of tread outside the fenders.

On the inboard side, you're subtracting 0.6" for the new backspace, but you're adding 0.8" for the new tire width, so you'll be around 0.2" closer to the suspension components. However, diameter comes into play also. So, you'll just have to mount them up and see how they work out.

Thanks for responding. I use the following website frequently:
https://www.rimsntires.com/specspro.jsp

Is the attached incorrect? According to their drawings, the new setup will only stick out 2.1" farther than my current 285 setup and be .5" farther away from suspension components.

285: (11.2"/2)=5.6"-1.8" is 3.8" outboard from hub
325: (12.8"/2)=6.4"-0.5" is 5.9" outboard from hub
difference of +2.1"

285: (11.2"/2)=5.6"+1.8" is 7.4" inboard from hub
325: (12.8"/2)=6.4"+0.5" is 6.9" inboard from hub
difference of -0.5"

Current setup with 285's has 1/2" fender coverage with stock fenders. After I install the Mopar High-line fenders, I should be closer to 2" while keeping the 285's or having very little to 0 tire exposure past these fenders using the 325 setup.

Additionally, the 325 tire dismounted measures 12-1/8" so I assume the tire width will be narrower than 12.8"
