So I'm being told I should have my negative which cable hooked up to the rear stud on the negative side of the battery? Anybody else have it like that?

The only reason I'm asking is because I had the traction control, abs light and brake light come on a couple times on me today and then shut off. I haven't checked for loose batter connections yet or looked at anything for that matter as the jeep is at my house and I'm at work. (I drive another jeep) was mostly curious about that winch line..

Yes, you do not want to attach anything to the stud closest to the battery post. That stud is what clamps the cable to the battery. (same goes for the positive cable) A loose ground can cause all kinds of problems/warning lights to come on/etc. I have my winch cable attached to the rear stud.

You have to find a nut for the stud on the neg post. You can reuse any of the ones on the pos that as stated before not part of the nuts closest to the actual post (the one that holds it tight)
