Hey I'm looking to tint my front doors windows. I would like to match the rear windows tints. Does anyone know what's the stock tints percentage is on the rear windows of the jeep wrangler unlimited 2013. I asked my dealer and they don't even know what it is. Thanks

I5% will give closer match to the back. The windshield is large and the amount of light passes through will make the 20% look more like 30% .

Windshelds are large? The Wrangler has the smallest windshield of any car on the market. Or damn close.

...for clarification...are you talking about the hard top windows? If you are yes, they are 20%.

Go to a tint shop , get a estimate and ask them. . Doesn't mean you got to use them.

I was told 31% by the nice officer who pulled me over and used his handy dandy tint meter. I drove away with a high five and a smile

I put 20% on my fronts and a brow on windshield and its a perfect match for the hard top windows.

I did 20 percent on my 2 doors and strip on windshield and got a nice even match with the factory hard top tint.

Hey thanks for the advice. Did 20% percent it matches the rear windows perfect and looks good as hell. Now time to install 35's and lift this bad boy

It may vary state to state. When i had mine done, i was shown what was legal and what was not. I do know here in Florida they do use tint meters.

My front is 25 and the rear is 20 (stock). This is fine during the day. You can clearly see four people inside, no problem.

Loss of sunlight and certain angles will make the tint seem darker.

As long as the officer can see a figure inside, your good.

15% is what I ended up choosing. It's just a hair darker than the stock hard top. The light from the windshield does make it look nearly identical to the rear.

It does vary state to state. Check the law in advance so you know whether to expect a ticket or not...

Here in NJ, front driver and passenger side and windshield cannot be tinted at all.
