Ok so i have to replace the windshield in my 88 but want to clean up and paint the frame first. the po must have attempted to remove the frame at some point and made a mess of the torx screws.. im sure someone else on here has delt with this.. Any tricks for easy removal? I would rather not drill them if i don't have too..

thanks for your help

Heat is your friend especially since your painting it anyway. But honestly, drill um its faster and easier. I go straight for the 1/2" bit and let her rip. They are so soft it doesnt take much to drill down far enough to get the head off....which being that soft is why they screw up in the first place right? After you get it off, you can get the nubs out easy.
