I went to install a new cowl seal and when i lowered the windshield i ended up bending the hinge brackets. I would have thought it would have been harder to bend the bracket instead if where it hinges. Anyway i can't get the bolts out either. I would assume my only option is to drill and tap the bolts. Has anyone ran into this?

Yes. Bent one of mine. Broke the glass trying to persuade it back into position. Ended up drilling one of the bolts. Cut and welded the bent hinge (no longer a hinge). Hope to never have to go through that again. Most of the torx bolts did not want to cooperate.

Yeah I'm guessing that mine haven't been hinged in 23 years. I even used some pb blaster before i tried it. Also my torx bolts are for the most part stripping out. Not to happy about the situation.
