Ok so currently I have a 98 tj wrangler 4cyl 5 spd it has a 4 in full traction and 33 inch tires. T case drop. I want to build it up but keep the height.

Sye and driveline, With a Rustys long arm upgrade, 1.75inch coil spacers (with my 4 inch coils), front flat fender (not highline), and a rear trim( not highline) not sure what kit yet, of course new axles (front and rear) Dana 60 ford 8.8 or ford 9.0. Rear locker.and of course a new motor. Possibly new paint.

With that how would 37s look? Right now I have stock plastic fender flares trimmed and it seems that I can fit 35s pretty good. Many people do it. But when the complete build is done could 37s be achieved. I want 37s to finalize the build.

I've seen guys with 3 inches of lift on 37s but they all highline. And with a big build $2000 for a highline is not necessary to me. But that's me I prob with eventually do a diy.

Thoughts ideas to help me out. It's time for an upgrade and I'd like to have a nice rig.

If D60's are even considered, just do it. Save yourself time and money and go full width. I planned on the same, but have since changed my mind. The amount of lift you are thinking of, ~5-5.5" is enough for 35" tires, but since you are doing some tube fenders, you can get it to work with proper shocks and bumpstops. Also, with 37's... I'd look into stretching the rear at least another 5".

Yeah I was planning full width 60s then black steelies with a larger backspacing or a 6 inch rear flare.(with 35s).

Then for 37s would it be better to have control arms fabricated/made for me so that the 5inch backspacing would work? How much would that cost? Because a nice kit with 5 inch backspacing like TNT customs or full traction I'm looking at $2500 possibly even more. I think both products that are 5 inch backspacing are a 3 link which is nice but a lot more $$$$$ haha. I realize it's an expensive build either way.

I use to know a guy who had a yj on 37s and the only problem that he had was irrelevant drive shaft/ u joint issues like breaking joints a lit but he was really tall to. It wheeled nice besides that hahaha

Any products I can look a that i have not looked at?

Got Dana 70 back and 60 front. This is very heavy to move. You will need a lot more engine to move them. They bring you far away but the downside is that not a lot of people can get to where you are to help you out if you are badly stuck. ;)

If you don't mind me asking could you share the price for that setup? Did you get your axles new or used? did you regear? I like the sound of that I don't plan on getting stuck:p and yes I would do a motor swap but I don't know what one yet. I don't want the new hemi swap because there is just too many wires and useless extra stuff to get in the way. But thats just me maybe I'm wrong? Haha

I don't think I've seen many people have issues using wheels with 5" of backspacing. A lot of guys run H2 rims which are 17x8(or 9?) and they have like 5-5.5" of backspacing... although a lot of them also run coil-overs.
You can get a TNT truss for a front D60, but it has to be a 78-79 HP model because of the longer diverside tube. If you are planing on running an off the shelf lift kit, it would be wise to just fab the mounts where you need them on the axle... or you'd be looking at fabbing the mounts and a lift "kit" for yourself. There is going to be some work involved no doubt, just depends on how much work you want to do.

I'm also contemplating the 36 " irok any reviews on those? It's either going to be a 35 mtr with Kevlar sidewalls or possibly am irok. I know my Toyo open country's are a great tire( to me at least) but I'd like to try something different.

The MT/R's are a great tire and if you are going to be driving on road itll save you grief of not ruining iroks quickly. Also, you can high line for far under $2000 actually, about $500. Just go to Rokmen and buy the fenders, cut your hood down, trim the rear up some and vualah an extra like 3" of tire clearance!

Oh wow I did not know you could buy fenders separate. I've been thinking just putting on a nice flat fender I don't know yet there is endless possibilities for jeeps
