let the games begin, as opening weekend of rifle season begins across the northwest many jeepers are ecstatic. however I and many of those I wheel with are disappointed. not because we hate hunting, far from it as a hunter myself I completely understand. opening weekend though, is amature hour. every idiot drunk with a gun is up on trails I drive all year, throwing trash around, leaving bones or in some cases full carcasses out to rot. this type of behavior is what puts a bad image in the minds of many about our way of life. outdoor recreation is endangered, endangered by yahoos who do not know just whats at stake. so for anybody going out hunting this weekend or any other, please think safety and responsibility , we want to continue using our land and enjoying the outdoors.

Im a hunter myself, as well as a often wheeler and here in Michigan, i see way too many trails littered with cans, left over Remington boxes, etc. It makes me disapointed and upset that regular people who just want to go out on a nice trail or go for a hunting trip have to deal with all the selfishness of all the "yahoos" and now think that everyone in the hunting community is selfish. I understand, the season has began, but please, as the original poster said, for all hunters, be mindful to the enviroment around you because, after all, we wouldnt be able to enjoy our jeeps or guns without it.

Im sorry, i had to vent, i didnt mean to take up your thread :/
