My Jeep when I got it. 2004 Wrangler X with 44,000 miles. All stock except 31" BFG All-Terrains. Of course had to mud with it stock.

My first mod: 4" Fabtech basic short arm susp. lift, 17" black Fuel Hotage Offroad wheels, and Mickey Thompson 12.5x33 Baja MTZs. Added in May of 2011.

Driving it out of the shop for the first time

Sitting in the driveway with the lift

Next mod: Birthday present! Warn M8000 Winch, tow straps, and tow hooks. Tree protector, snatch block, D-Ring for snatch block, and some other goodies added later.

Installation of the winch. Attached to the winch plate, this thing weighs a ton!

Installation of KC Daylighter 130w Driving and Offroad lights. This is the wiring for the windshield mounted Offroad lights. Pulled wiper panel off to run wiring.

Ran wiring in through the corner of the panel on both sides and crossed over the firewall at the hood hinges.

Put the panel back on. Wiring looks clean and dissapears quickly.

Lights attached and wiring complete.

Another pic of the finished lights. Put the hard smile rock covers on both sets.

Added yellow KC rock gaurds to all lights. I like em!

Both sets of lights on with rock guards.

My Iggee seat covers arrived.

There were only enough hooks in the box for the front seats (oops on Iggee) so I got creative and made a zip-tie chain to keep it tight. I probably used 20 or so zip-ties tied together.

The back seat finished...

...and the back seat installed.

Left Side.

Right

Routing Fireflex Coax. Ran it through tailgate vent into the tailgate.

Vent back on

Comes out same hole 3rd brake light wires go in.

Scraped out a little bit of the cover to make it fit.

Ran along side of tub. Used the d-ring hitch to hold it down and get a good measurement.

Uniden PRO-520xl

Installed quick disconnects so i can hide it.

Use stereo for external speaker or PA (until my horn gets here)

Ext Speaker output going to stereo

Modified Arizona Rocky Road mount. It didnt fit my Olympic Extreme Duty tire mount so I lined it up between the bump stop and tire mount bolt and drilled a hole to match the width. Sits to the right a bit but works for me.

3' Firestik II 'FS' on spring on ARR mount w 18' fireflex coax w/ fire ring

The antenna. (sorry. pic was on phone, at night, into garage light)

New Warn Go Prepared windshield banner. And you can see CB.

Blue LED HVAC lights. Broke middle one while installing, so only two on.

Blue TriLED instrument cluser lights. Awesome.

SRC arrived. The box. UPS man dropped it off inside my garage. He must have known...

Packing. Lots of foam blocks and plastic. Cardboard wrapped on ends to keep from busting out of the box.

There she is!

Old stock bumper

Installed with lights relocated. Looks awesome but only 4 bolt locations.

And from a slightly higher view lol.

Finally got the correct pair of Body Armor trail doors in. Last pair I sent back because the limiting strap hoop was riveted on where I couldnt put the strap on. Put ths set on this morning. In this set, the passenger side hinge scrapes the paint off the body as it pivots. Grinding required apparently.

WARNING: I had so many issues with these doors I ended up selling them. I will never buy Body Armor again.

Installed SPECO 6" Aluminum PA horn to fog light mount tab on SRC bumper.
Its a temporary location but I wanted to get max sound for football game friday. Cut plugs off one end of Red/White stereo cable and wired into PA horn. Plugged uncut end into another cable that changes from Red/White plugs to 3.5mm jack. Then into back of Uniden PRO-520xl CB. VERY LOUD! Pretty good for an unamplified because I closely matched the wattage/ohms and got a high sensitivity (105 dB).

My 16.4ft Blue LED strip for foot well and body rail lighting

Testing the roll with the CB discos. It's bright!

Wired into KC rocker switch and 12v RC car battery charger

The rigging works. Rocker switch lights up too

I had to build a mount for the drivers side. It bolts to the bottom of the steering frame and hangs down about 4" to make it close to even with the passenger side. It's made of scrap pieces of licence plate left over from the tail light mount that are snap riveted together and snap riveted to a paint stick. Snap rivets are cool!

The paint stick w/ mount is the drivers side and the ruler is pass. side. The ruler will just be glued to the bottom of the A/C components. Both are wired and ready to be mounted.

Both sides lighted using the charger. Lookin good! Drivers side is leaning against the chair back.

Install tomorrow and determining how I'm going to do the rear seat and tub rail install.

Finished front foot well led install

Testing the drivers side mount earlier in the day

Wired and finished

I mounted two of my KC rocker switches on the plastic piece under the door frame. I wanted them hidden under the dash but there was no good place to mount them. This spot makes it easy to turn on or off while driving or outside the the car. The front switch will control the front and rear foot well lighting. The back switch will control tub rail lighting and any other locations.

Close up of the switches.

Drivers side mounted on a paint stick

Paint stick is snap riveted to scrap pieces of licence plate riveted together and bolted to the steering frame.

I had to move the pass side white light over to fit the ruler

I drilled two holes in the ruler and used another preexisting hole to feed the screws. Fits nicely between the kick panel Nd the frame.

Another finished pic

Tomorrow will be work on the rear foot well lights.

2 JL Audio 10W3V3-4 subwoofers and a JL Audio XD600/1 monoblock amp installed today!

I had to tape over the vent because the sound was blowing out so hard it was rattling the vent.

I picked up the center cap for my spare wheel from the local wheel shop that i had ordered over a month ago. Grabbed an led and holder from RadioShack that were out of stock last visit. Then, i drilled the fake plastic bolts, put in the snap holders, and wired in the leds. The result is pretty awesome!

Heres the pics of it installed
2 1/2" washers on each wheel lug to space the wheel enough to run the wiring.

The washers also helped move the tire off of the bumper a lottle so it won't rub the paint off anymore, although i wont have the stock bumper for very much longer

The wire runs through the holes for wheels with a larger bolt pattern and squeezes between the wheel and mount.

it was impossible to wire the light before mounting the wheel, but it was extremely difficult to wire it once the wheel was already mounted.

The black plastic snap in holders match well and hide the evidence of drilling.

The clear lights match the silver accents well

Lit!

From straight on.

Once i install my rampage recovery bumper/tire carrier, i can wire the floods as reverse lights and put 4" round led tail lights in. This mod will look great with those.

Some pics of my new Rampage bumper

Finally convinced my dad to let me cut holes in the tub (yes i still have to do that). I picked up a pair of Blazer 4" 10 led STT lights from Walmart for $33. I used my in room 12v power source (aka rc battery charger) to light them.

For my backup lights, I want to install this (4" LED Backup Reverse Tail Light Utility Trailer Truck : Amazon.com : Automotive) led light but im not sure it is going to fit. The red lights are slightly too wide but the white lights claim to be only 4".

Last night, i wired my led backup lights into the backup light circuit. Then i modded the circuit in the cab to a double throw switch. The I is wired to the backup circuit. The II is wired to a constant 12v. The output goes to the lights. So now my lights work normally or can be turned on and off whenever. This mod was a huge PITA, especially when i cut the wrong wire in the cab and had to patch it, despite identical coloring.

I used the male half of blue bullet connecters. They worked perfectly.

Heatshrinked. I melted the plastic around the holes to lock in the connections and make them more water tight.

Taped up

Testing my skills

I decided to tap in at the trailer harness because 1. I am about to remove the tail lights and want to have the pigtails intact for selling. 2. I still wanted a plug inbetween the lights and the jeep harness. The outside plug will be cut off of the trailer harness and my led tail lights will be soldered to the trailer harness wires.

One in with the tail light removed for other reasons

It is a great mod, but the switch got the best of me. Took me nearly 8 hours for everything.
