I've got a 1990 Wrangler and I'm looking to lift it. Problem is there is no way I'm going to be able to afford any after market brand name kit. So I was planning on pulling an entire lifted suspension from an old bone yard truck and swapping the whole thing out underneath the YJ. Now before I get out the torch and start hacking away, I want to know if any one else has done this, or am I just spiting into the wind.

People have used xj cherokee leafs before.

Putting some one of the spring leafs in you stock spring pack.
I think you get 1.5 -2 inches of lift

Wagoneer springs as well I think. Not sure on the details.

Welcome!

If your looking to stay cheap, start with just a shakle lift or something... just an idea. Easy to install as well.

if your going the junk yard route google "bastard pack", basicly building a new leaf pack using S10 springs, gets you about 2" lift.

Anybody know if the 2.5 liter could handle a 5 inch SOA swap or would it be severely under powered?
