Anyone that has installed this lift, other than whats in the Kit, was there any other modifications that had to be done? Track Bar, Control Arms, that type of stuff? thanks

I installed mine a few months ago and the kit is complete. The only think extra that I had to buy was a pleather shiftboot from Autozone for $10 because my stock rubber accordion shift boot (manual trans) would not allow for easy shifting into 2nd and 4th.


It's a great kit, great ride on and off road, and well worth the money. :thumb:

Yeah I've had mine for about a month now. looking to put it in this weekend. Wanted to have all my ducks in a row. Appreciate the info buddy!

I agree...

i essentially have this lift and its been great. Only when you upgrade more things down the line will you need a track bar, control arms, etc...

I agree that the kit was pretty complete. A couple of the holes you have to drill are a bit awkward, and a second set of hands is a huge help, but otherwise a good kit. Good luck, and post pictures!

As the others have said, the kit is complete. You have to drill a hole to relocate your stock front track bar. If a guy had the extra $'s to spend, two nice upgrades to the kit would be an adjustable front track bar, and a Novack shift cable.

i dont run into any problems any more but when i installed the body lift i got a leather shift boot from a vender on the board (black boot with red stitching) and that fixed it...

To make it simple, the novak cable shifter is adjustable and is a ton smoother. It gets rid of the mechanical linkage so you'll basically have a seemless and smooth pull.

X2...It's not necessary, just nice. The kit comes with tc linkage relocation hardware that works, just not as smooth as the Novak...it would be easy to add later if you wanted.

As far as the transmission shifting goes, on my son's we were just able to remove the foam tube under the shift boot, and his worked fine. Sometimes the outer boot will bind on the inner foam.

This is what I run on mine and have had no issues, well except for the front trackbar, which I later had to upgrade because it will literally get very squirrely (at least mine did) on pavement and side streets including the highway. Had to upgrade to JKS. Other than that, no other problems, though I swear that I will break my shocks somehow someway.

I'm running the zone 4.25 on mine and so far its been great. Make sure you check your t/c mount while you have the skid off. Easier to replace it now that you have everything opened up. I got a knocking noise after I put mine all back together and it turned out the t/c mount was split in two. Just fyi. Good Luck!
