:flowers:I just started building my 2013 JK Unlimited.

2013 JK Build Part 1 (check out Part 2 also!) - YouTube

So far this is what I have planned:

  • 4" Currie lift w/ front and back Anti-Rocks
  • 37"s
  • Poison Spyder bumpers
  • Poison Spyder Brawler Rockers
Jeep Brawler Rockers | Rocker Armor | Parts & Accessories | Off-Road Upgrade |
  • Poison Spyder aluminum Flares
Jeep Front Crusher Flares | Parts & Accessories | Off-Road Upgrade |

  • Engo 12000 lb winch
Engo E12000 Electric Winch

  • 5.13 gearing and Yukon air selectable lockers
  • Currie-built Dana 44 to swap out for my Dana 30

  • Follow my build on Youtube and on this forum. Any useful input will be appreciated

All that money for suspension and drivetrain and you go with a cheap Engo winch? Why not do it right and step up to a Warn or Superwinch?

The Superwinch Talon series has the the best warranty in the business with lifetime mechanical and three years on electrical components.

Change of mind on axles

Decided to go with the Teraflex 44 rather than the Currie one mentioned above. Got a good price on one that had been returned in perfect condition except for one scratch. I think this in combo with RCVs and 5.13s should be good.

Actually, I can't remember what ratio my Sport originally was. I know it came with a slight upgrade. What are you wanting to do with them?

My axles will be ready in about two weeks. Contact me again and we'll talk about it.

For the people who have asked where I am getting my parts, I am getting my Teraflex 44, re-gears, lockers, lift, etc. thru RWK Haus in Yorba Linda, CA. If interested give Robert a call:

My rear diff cover and front & rear lockers.

Although I really liked the Poison Spyder diff covers, I decided to go with Teraflex to match my front housing and cover.

Also got my RCVs:

Goodyear MTR 37s

Since the 80's, I have been a BFG Mud Terrain Guy. The 37s are now on a 2-month back order, so I am going to give Goodyear a chance. I ordered the Wrangler MTRs yesterday: 37x12.50x17. Hopefully I will like them. I've heard good things about them.

I also picked up my Rock Crawler Wheels.

$$$

Right now I am here (having done most of my own work):
$25760 Sport
$16445 Parts so far
$42205 Total so far

This is a little more than an off-the-lot Rubicon, but a WHOLE LOT BETTER.

I still want an Atlas transfer case, a bolt-on roll cage and Rock Hard skids (about 6K more).

For my money I think it is much better to start with a Sport and build your own "Better than a Rubicon"

Poison Spyder fender flares install

Just a thought on my Poison Spyder aluminum fenders: Even though I think they are a nice product once installed, I would never buy them again just because the installation process is VERY slow, tedious and frustrating. I have Warriors (steel), on my 2008 JK and they were MUCH easier to install.:banghead:

PS If you get this rear bumper, poison Spyder charges $57 + shipping and tax for their LED lights. I got mine on EBAY for $14. Buyer beware!
Thanks for posting up all the vids and pics man. :thumb: I'm enjoying them.

The PSC Brawler Lite rear is on my list and I also noticed the insane price they charge for their LEDs. The correct size is 2.5" LEDs, correct? I'm having trouble finding the $14 set on eBay.
