Hi Everyone,

I can't seem to find this part online...

Maybe I'm looking for it under the wrong name,
I believe its called a "4x4 Gear Shifter Lever"... Maybe my google skills are not that good! Here is a photo of what I need. I broke the threads trying to unscrew the knob :facepalm:! I have a '91 YJ with a 2.5L engine... Not sure if that matters for this part or not.

Any info on a site I can purchase one of these would be awesome...

Thanks in advance!

You can epoxy the shift knob on there too. That is what I see people do a lot. Epoxy is usually less than $5.00

Now if you have the time and tools...... I installed a body lift and had to do something with the shifters so I extended mine by drilling the center and threading it on the shifter and a new 1/2" piece of metal and threaded them together with a piece of threaded rod (I think it was 3/16). Then used a die and threaded the other end for the shifter knob. Then brazed them together. The 4wd shifet was just cut and extended the same way but my threads were intact. It looks good IMO, and was a good excuse to drink a few cold ones:whistling:
This may be harder, but I had the stuff around.

@Master4th...Awesome diagram... Thanks very much.

@d5string... Not sure if I have all of the tools to get that done... But my uncle might! LoL... Not to mention I'm about to put on a lift so this will be useful information! It looks good too!

@darren636... Thanks for the offer... I will get back to you shortly if something else falls through.

@dutch_95... I've wasted sooooo many hours looking for this part on ebay, good find. I think I may be able to work out a deal here on the WranglerForums with another member.

Thanks again everyone I appreciate your help....This is the first time I really have tooken on any project that gets my hands dirty and its been a blast sooo far.
