Thought I'd bump this up just in case someone has some insight. I have an opportunity to buy a factory 2008 soft top but want to be sure it will fit. Searched around other places on the web and haven't found anything conclusive.

Any input is greatly appreciated

 

You could ask the dealer for the part number on a replacement for an 08 and the part number for the purchase of an 09 top. If the part number is the same that would be a dead give-away clue. Maybe the duke could give us some wisdom on this?

 

Great idea. The numbers did change but according to the parts guy that doesn't necessarily mean there were changes. Seems that from one year to the next they may change part numbers.

I have an 09 Unlimited and just purchased a used soft top off an 08 and it fits perfectly.

I believe that there are a few tops out there available from the dealer. I believe there may be two different Mopar units and a Bestop one. I've got a Mopar, non-dual top package soft top from an 08.

How far upstate are you?

 

07-09 should be the same, but you might want to make a quick call to our customer support people to make sure - 800-845-3567. They keep much better track of small details than I do.

Bestop makes the factory Mopar stuff, too.

Should be fine. 1997-06 (TJ's) were all the same.
