After a lot of searching, I discovered that my best price for a legit Mopar Power Dome Hood was from my local dealer.

The local Jeep Dealer (that I bought my vehicle from) offered me a 10% discount for a total price of $770.

The kit includes the hood, vents, and heat shield hood insulation pad.

(My heart skipped a few beats when I saw this hood at Quadratec for $607.... but then I discovered that that was for the 'hood only'...... vents added $112, and you have to get the insulation as well, and then they have a shipping fee of $150.... total cost from this discount parts supplier is roughly $870 - - so, be careful when you think a 3rd party source is automatically going to be less expensive.)

Another benefit from buying from your local dealer is that if the part comes in damaged, they simply order you a new one. You don't need to worry about shipping parts back, filing claims with the freight company, and resulting time lags.

I can get the hood 'next day' availability as well. Bing, bang, boom - DONE!!

That's great to know! I want to get one of those and some factory half doors.

Mine as well. The parts dept. manager referred to it as their "conquest" pricing from FCA. Anywhere from 15% to 30% off retail. No shipping (which adds up quick for oversize/heavy parts), but sales tax does apply. I bought my hardrock/10-75/A rear bumper through them for close to $100 under anywhere else other than takeoff/used.

The best price I was quoted anywhere for new 1/2 doors and interior trim was my selling dealer. 30% off retail/no shipping/add in sales tax. Wasn't even close.

Again, my local dealer refers to this as FCA's "conquest" program. Interested in feedback as far as if anyone else has heard of it from their dealer.

I negotiated it after I made my 2017 purchase. Told them I can get it online for about $750(plus shipping and taxes that weren't mentioned) and asked them to match it. They said yes, but for whatever reason they only charged me $686 so I was ok with that. Painted and installed it for $300. I think that was the big win as most posts I saw had everything around 1300-1500.

Just make sure that the price isn't for this other "Power Dome" hood from Mopar...

Do you know the correct part number for the hood with grill inserts?

82213656 Is the kit with the hood, vents and pad. You'll just need to get the two new hood bumpers.

When I was pricing mine, my dealer couldn't touch the price that Rick gave me.

So dumb question, when you guys get your new hoods is the hood painted alone, or are the fenders/grill/etc painted some too so they blend well together?
Hood only.

Got mine from mopar parts online, $700 with vents, bumper and pad. Had Chrysler body shop order it so I wouldn't have to deal with shipping issues. Painted just the hood and installed it for $300. Paint color is a perfect match! They couldn't match the paint themselves using the factory paint code off the Jeep. They got a custom paint mix from the paint manufacturer that was spot on.

Hey Killingtonvt, who is Rick, that gave you a good price? I have yet to find a dealer locally (so I can save on shipping) who will price it lower than the list price (~$950).

This part number is for the functional hood vents correct?

Not news to me, I've been getting my Mopar parts from a dealership near me since they cost less than all the other retail outlets.

What's the Mopar P/N, I'ld like to check on the price from my local dealership?

Are you guys who are buying these dome hoods for your "Sports" also installing the Rubicon decal on your hoods? If so, are you then installing DANA 44's on your rear and adding lockers both fore and aft? And how 'bout the transfer case? Then there's the Rubicon seat seats. If so, why not just buy a Rubicon? Just asking!
