This is a common problem. I had it in my '13. The dealer adjusted something, seemed ok for 1 day but went right back to blowing cool air on the driver side. Then they just sucked it up and replaced the heater core I believe. Was fine after that. There's several threads on this problem. Don't let the dealer bullshit you into thinking that's not the problem. It most likely is. From my experience....
Hey doctorsteve. I noticed you said you had the heater core replaced and that it "Was fine after that" Is the heater core and heat inside the vehicle still working correctly? Are you having any issues with the heater on the driver side or either side for that matter?

I don't have it anymore. But once it was replaced (under warranty), the heat was fine. It initially was not blowing hot air at all on the driver's side, I can't remember about the passenger side. But there are numerous threads on this topic. There was some shit that got into the radiator and gummed things up in the heater core. The dealers know about this. Don't let them bullshit you.

My 2013 JK is having this same issue (no heat on driver side) and its cold as heck here in Missouri lately. I had the heater core flushed and the heat worked perfect (very warm) for about a month and now its back to exactly how it was, no heat on drivers side. I desperately want the heat back but am very upset about the cost at $1,850 for a heater core replacement. Maybe I would do it if I felt it would actually be fixed but my understanding is that the problem will come back. So, I'm trying to figure out what is the best approach to getting this problem resolved?

1) Does anyone know if having the heater core replaced does indeed fix the problem? (for a reasonable amount of time that is)

2) I'm seeing this article from January 3, 2018 http://www.carcomplaints.com/news/2018/jeep-wrangler-heating-ac-lawsuit.shtml with a headline saying JEEP WRANGLER HEATING AND AC LAWSUIT IS OVER. It goes on to say The plaintiffs say they finally talked Chrysler into paying all but $300 for the repairs. then a bit further down it says No details of the settlements were released. what the heck does that mean? Are they saying Chrysler is going to be upright on this issue and correct the problems they hid from people like you and me? Does anyone know?

I also flushed mine last year and I had barely any heat below 20F on the drivers side. Fed up with it this year, I did the shortcut swap found on Youtube and have to turn the heat down regularly. If you go this route, just be extra careful cutting the inlet and outlet pipes and sliding the core into the slot behind your controls. It's a tight spot but doable. Saves you $1600.

Something you should check is the air intake for your hvac system. It's behind your glovebox. A napkin had fallen out of mine and blocked off the intake, had the same problem with uneven/low heat.
Thank you @Dugzilla! You Saved me a ton of money and time, this is exactly what was causing my uneven heat in my 2014 Wrangler. As soon as I cleared napkin that had fallen all heat problems fixed.
