Hello,
10 years ago today. I was the first one on this forum to post a picture of a JKU Willys Wheeler parked in the driveway. I ordered it on the morning the order bank opened. Still driving it today.

The positive thing about the Jeep - motor and transmission still good, no issues. Still original starter, alternator, water pump, power steering pump and AC compressor. The thing has never left me stranded.

The bad things are the oil filter housing adapter. My second one is starting to leak. The plastic thermostat housing. Had wiring with a loom that I had to solder and put back together. Everything in the interior seems to be falling apart. The HVAC doesn’t work correctly. Cracks in the plastic. Things pulling apart. Radio went. Speakers work intermittently. Exhaust needed to be repaired. Replaced some axle seals. Factory battery stinks, lasts just until the warranty is up. That happened on both of my JKs.

The mods are JCR bumper and AEV 2.5
Iift with 33’s.

My plain is to keep for another year and then Im buying a Gladiator.
It was a good Jeep. If I would do it over I would have traded it in at about 120000 miles. That’s when little things seem to start to fall apart.

7 years on my Willys wheeler. I kinda miss it being stock, wish I would have wheeled it stock more than I did before I modified it…
