2014 Jeep JK speaker upgrades?

I currently own a 2014 Jeep Wrangler 2-door sport and I am currently looking to upgrade the speakers all around the car. I do not have the factory installed sub-woofer and I am looking for a kit with one, I am also looking for a plug-and-play kit. I have looked online and there are so many contradicting reviews and I thought people on these forms will have better information for me.

Thank you in advance for the help.

Me and my brother actually just installed new speakers in mine, a 2dr as well. I went with JBL GTO609C. Not an expensive kit but came with speakers, tweeters and crossover. Needed a plug adapter and a little wire to extend the tweeters but it wasnt bad at all. Any 6.5in speaker should work but these are decent working off a budget

Definitely go through Www.crutchfield.com they will send you speaker adapters as wiring adapters. Are you looking to add a sub in the factory location? Or just add a sub in general? There’s a few options for that one. I just installed a set of Polk 6.5” in my soundbar, will add a set of Polk components in the dash and, as I took out my factory sub (I do have the factory enclosure that I will sell) I will be adding a 10” JBL sub as well.

Unless you plan to mount your sub in the rear storage area, you are very limited with sub options. I have a Kenwood KSC-SW11 under my driver's seat, and it just fits. Most under seat mounts you'll read about here are done on 4 doors, which don't have the tumble seats that a 2 door has. I also upgraded my head unit, but the small powered sub is more than enough for me at this point. I went with fairly cheap Rockford Fosgate components, and at this point have decided that anything else I invest into sound in my JK will be diminishing returns. Unless I spend thousands which I don't want to do.

But as has been said here numerous times (more than once by me), I'd replace the head unit before speakers. You might be happy with factory speakers. The factory head unit is garbage.
