Trying to decide on tire size for wife's Rubicon. Installing a TF Performance leveling kit (coils) and was going to go with 285/70 17" Nitto Ridge Grapplers. Shop that is doing the work asked me if I really want to put the 31" on the vehicle or go with a 33".

Wondering what this size measures out to on the vehicle. Anyone with some digits?

I figured that they will indeed be at 32" or just under when on the vehicle because the 295/70 17" on my jeep measure out at 32".

I think the 285's will look good with the leveling kit though and I can't have my wife with bigger tires than me right?!

Thanks in advance for the input and thoughts.

^^^Just click on the PICS to enlarge.

Mine has the 285/70R/17 C Rated Nitto Ridge Grapplers, mounted on a 9" wide Rim, with 4.5 Back Spacing.

1" Teraflex leveling spacer up front.

This will give you a idea of what it will look like.

O.K., Measuring horizontally at the approx. center of the tire with 35 PSI, it measures about 32 1/4".

Found this when I was looking after install on Saturday.
Tire: Falken AT3W LT285/75R17 (2803012)
Rim: 17"x8.5"
Pressure: 35psi (cold)
One full rotation: 102.5"
Tire height on vehicle (rotation/pi): 32.63"
Set FlashCal for 32.75" tires and GPS and speedo are spot on.

This is 1.27" smaller than the claimed height on Falken's site and I am disappointed.

My 285/75/17 Terra Grappler G2 measure right at 33" on the nose. Nitto specs these at 33.9.
