'98 here. Seems to me none of yours are as faded as mine was when I got it! Jealous. Everything that was black I assume, is now Grey.

Mine was pretty bad when I got it.

 

i have one myself. Currently covered in a camo wrap from the PO, but eventually the original color will come back out. I personally like the color.

 

My 1998 4.0 Manual, best color!

 

Didn't think I would like the color when my dad bought it but after a year of TLC, I love it. Even got me some Oakley's to match.

 

I finally took the time today to find out the original color of my jeep. I was convinced it was resprayed by the P/O because I've never seen another one like it, but turns out it's Deep Amethyst Pearl!

This is my "new" 2006 TJ. Had it about a month now and love every bit of it. First pic is what it looked like when I left the dealership. Second is where it is today. Plastidipped the wheels, new 33x12.50x15 Falken Wild Peaks. Somethings I've done that you can't see: Hula girl dashmounted , Neoprene seat covers, Spiderwebshade top, Quadratec floormats, painted front bumper with truckbed liner, custom surfboard racks....still more to come.

 

love this color wouldn't want to own any other color it grew on me as soon as I seen it.

 

Mine's red, but this purple reminds me of my dad's 'Plum Crazy Purple' charger he had back in the day. I'll have to plasti-dip my Jeep this color for a year and run with a 'venom' scheme (deep purple body and highlighter yellow accents), some colors just contrast each other so well!

 

Bringing this back! I need some inspiration!





I really like the bright green accents everybody has! Anybody else have a Purple People Eater?????

Hey guys. Day one I bought my TJ from a kid on craigslist, thought it was blue. Day 2 Picked it up after sun down, thought it was blue. Day 3 Went to work before sunrise, thought it was blue. Day 4 returned to RI from MA to handle inter-state title issues (another story). Day 5 Insurance, title plates etc. Title says "purple" Assuming its a mistake I take the plates home and see the car in the sun for the first time.

It's nice to have such a rare color, but I have mixed feelings on the tan interior.

 

Looks good! Basically same thing happen to me... Thought for sure it was blue... Now you cant see any other color than just PURPLE! lol

What a gorgeous color! After Flame red, I think this is my next favorite. At least, of the colors I've seen so far .

 

What do you guys think of DAP with orange accents? I'm stuck between blue, yellow, green, and orange but I've never seen DAP with orange to help my decision.

 

cannot post pics yet, but mine is amethyst pearl as well. Love how the color seems to change based upon the angle you view it.

 

I am in love with that color. Almost bought one when I was looking for a TJ but ended up with something else...

 

Changes needed to be made... when I bought the jeep like many others it seems I thought it was a dark blue and of course the next day in the direct sunlight I found that to be false... I've had the deep amethyst for a year and four months now and it finally needed to go. I'm loving it in matte white now!

 

Now I can post pics, here are some of the Deep Amethyst Pearl. I really like this color and how it changes in the light.
