Well…..finally got some time to spend on the auxiliary back-up lights.

I used the wiring harness that came with the lights, but the above switch

Make sure you select the "FLOODS".
WOW they are BRIGHT !
Bumper :
Crown Rear Bumper Kit - Black - 5ED18T3XK
The bumper is very poor Chinese workmanship.
The steel and weight are OK, but the paint and ALL alignment is way off the welded on bolts point in different directions...arrrggg !
I cut the holes for the lights with a Dremel tool and then sanded and repainted the whole bumper.
I used the diagram I found on here to help,
but did make some changes. Who ever originally created it:
THANK YOU !
The wires under the driver's kick panel are a real pain to get to and especially to solder (all connections are soldered).
Be sure to test and find the specific violet wire with a black stripe and confirm it is hot when the shifter is moved to reverse.
Cut that wire and connect the side coming from the connector to the non striped side of the diode. The striped side of the diode connects to the load side of the relay and also to the side of the violet/black wire (you just cut) that continues on back thru the body to the original back-up lights.
All works well and as intended :
I can tap the button and the all lights come on anytime or when shifting to reverse all the lights come on.
The switch illuminates RED only when the lights are on.
Not a bad project other than the quality of the bumper and being up-side down under the dash 100 times.
NOTE : Some of my wire colors DO NOT match the diagram, but the Jeep's original Violet / Black is correct.
