I have a 2016 Wrangler 4 Door - soft top. I can hardly see out my back window, I also want to upgrade my radio. I am a iphone user and would like to have that integration and a back up camera. What is the best options? I would like to keep the satellite radio feature.

I had the 430N with premium audio (factory Alpine amp and rear sub) and changed it out with the Alpine iLX-207. I used the existing sirius antenna and installed the module. I just used a backup camera from Amazon that mounted on the spare tire mount. I wanted the iLX-207 mainly for CarPlay. Works and sounds great. The unit comes with it's own GPS antenna and microphone that need to be installed and wires hidden, but both work great. I like having multiple Nav options (Apple Maps, Waze, or Google Maps) and multiple music options. The iLX-207 install kit also has the Maestro which gives you factory steering wheel radio controls as well as the ability to read vehicle info from the OBDP connection.

I have a 2015 JK 4 door with the Alpine option. I had to replace the factory head unit in the fall of 2019. I originally went with the Alpine i207-WRA. The kit includes a Maestro with a customized firmware so the interface for those features is extra cool. I was generally happy with it but had issues with USB connectivity from the armrest jack. I ended up returning it. I then went with a Kenwood Excelon DNX996XR and purchased the Maestro and all supporting pieces separately. The difference in sound between this and the Alpine was night and day. The Kenwood was far superior. I just now upgraded the head unit to the newer Kenwood Excelon DNR1007XR and the sound is even better. I cant really even justify replacing the factory amp and speakers because it sounds that good. Especially once you dial in the settings using the built in DSP. During the original install I also installed the Alpine HCE-TCAM1-WRA spare tire mount backup cam. I have mixed feelings about it. It looks great and has a great feature set (reverse and brake lights). But video quality isnt the best in class, and the metal housing isnt holding up that well. I also installed a Kenwood DRV-N520 dash cam. Also mixed feelings. Great feature set and seamless integration with and direct control by the compatible Kenwood head units. That is really cool. But even though it is 1080P HD, video resolution isnt on par with some dash cams costing less and it wont take very large SD cards. Still would buy again though.
