Full and half.

Looking at a used Jeep JL, that was originally sold with dual door group. Only has full now. Trying to explain to dealer the price is not that great, it is missing a $4000 option.

The price is based on what you see the Jeep has now, not what it came with from the factory. It could have no doors on it in which case it should be priced as such, doesn't matter that it had them when it left the factory. And this is a debate, but what if the PO put $20k of upgrades into it, does that mean you wouldn't pay more for the jeep than a stock one because those weren't on it when it was made? Base your acceptable price on what you see in front of you.

Sorry, I should have put more detail. It is a 2023 with 12,000 miles. A selling point of theirs - it is "X" amount cheaper than new, and only 12,000 miles. My counter is it is X-$4000 since the half doors are missing. The dealer went as far as to inform me the dual group did not come with 2 sets, just half doors (was the way back on JK). I was pretty sure the JL had a true 2 set option, he would not believe me. It is a rare option though, and the most expensive i believe.

I have not looked at what the option involves. I kinda of thought you delete the hard doors for half for about 4 grand.
Or when you pick it up New how do you take the 4 doors home? Just a thought.

This is not a option from mall crawlers with generally low ends parts done at some shop. This was how it was "made". How many times i hear i need to know what my jeep had new< Vin look up will give you all that it had.

Technically it is missing one of its rather expensive options. My year 2012 Rubicon that 4k is over half the Rubicon option. So it is a enough to mean this jeep if its being sold as dual doors and so its valuation?. It is over priced. Would be like buying say a rubicon but some one took out the 4:1 rock track transfer case. if its priced that way

If the jeep is priced and sure its to much anyway as Just a 4 door "what ever" from a S or the W dragon, big foot, deep water, snow caped peak addition.........

My bet the last owner sold them as they are rare. not many people buythis and where you going to store 4 doors and if you go door less. now you have 8 doors to stack somewhere. maybe the dealer sold them?

Found a Stellantis media release, it is indeed 2 sets of doors

Dual-Door Group, with base or premium uppers, includes both full and half doors. Full-steel production
doors are installed on the Wrangler while matching body-color half doors are conveniently packaged
within the vehicle. Engineered, tested and backed by the factory, the new half-door option enhances the
Jeep Wrangler driving experience with production styling, security and occupant protection. With lower
window ledges, new half doors provide improved visibility while maneuvering on and off road

I can guarantee you won't get a $4000 discount on a used JL just because the other doors aren't there. They probably based their price on what is currently on the vehicle at this time and its condition, regardless of what it came with new.

Jks did not come with a dual door group. Half doors with soft uppers were an option with the soft top. Full steel doors were standard. The JL dual door group is just that - dual sets of doors, but the half doors do not come with uppers (plainly stated in the description of the dual door option listing on the Jeep website).
