What year and motor Ford 19 lb injectors fit the 2.5? I have some orange top 4 hole 19 lb injectors from a 97 4.6 mercury grand marquis (EV1 type) - tried fitting them but they don't seem to fit in the intake, are these the right ones?

Thanks!

I'm not sure about those injectors, but the ones that i used on my 93 2.5L were for a ford mustang 5.0L. If i remember right, they have a bright blue top cap on them.

I thought you could use 19 lb 4 pin Ford injectors from a 4.6 or 5.0? The pintle cap seems to big unless I am mistaken. Not sure if I have to modify something or if these should just push in and be done??

I put the bottoms in first I believe. U want to be careful not to damage the o-rings. This mod is Such an improvement! Ur gonna want the 4.0 throttle body to get the most outa the injectors.
I have the 4.0 T/B already and a few other goodies. lol I will try and fit them again they just didn't wanna seem to be seated in the intake... Maybe once I bolt the fuel rail down it will hold them in place. Thanks for advice - hope this works

The yellow ones in the picture look right. I can check my part number when I get home but I pretty sure those are correct.

Yeah I can fit them in the rail but they don't seem to wanna seat in the intake unless I'm expecting them to be super tight in there. lol yeah def check if you have time man, I just wanna make sure these are the right ones. Problem with putting them in the rail first is then trying to push them all at once in the intake evenly. But hey I'll try anything lol

Well, put them in the intake first and then the rail went on so they seem pretty good. Guess I'll find out when I fire it up. Thanks for info fellas

Not sure yet, seems good now though. Decided to go new manifold, fuel filter, ccv, etc while apart. Gonna fire it up next week once I finish the electric fan mod.

No its only a boost of a couple lbs. The benifit is the 4 sprayer holes a
Vs one on the stocks which atomizes much better in the cylinder, and that extra couple lbs helps it run a bit richer since the 4cyl are lean from the factory.
