I set up this Yakima system using Tracks railings bolted to the roof. Though it may be fine, I did not want to use the rain gutters for support or the looks of it.

I think I paid $450 for everything up to the cross rails.

The Rhino rack backbone is another nice option for you.

 

I went with Thule feet and bars that attach to the rain gutters like the first link. Fit my car. Thule says it is good for 165 lbs. I've used ours for a Thule cargo carrier to haul suitcases. Worked well and was a cheaper alternative to the Teraflex roof rack that I really wanted.

 

I mean, I do the same for my canoe. I just dont take the boat out when it rains 🤣
