belts tend to squeal, try a little Vaseline on the belts and see if that reduces sound...

Serpentine belt is drying out or getting old, check by spraying wd40 on it, if the sound stops, that's your problem. If it is, just change it as it is not worth playing around with.

 

I wouldn't use WD40 on the belt. Rubber and petroleum based products like that aren't usually a good mix. Go to your local parts house and get some Belt Dressing or silicone spray. Or just change it out takes like 10 minutes..

 

Belt dressing quiets them down, but I've heard from a mechanic friend of mine that it isn't good for them either.

OP, if lubing the belt makes it stop squealing, then it's time for a new one... Gatorbacks are very good belts. They cost more, but they are nice and quiet. If lubing doesn't help it may be the tensioner pulley going out.

 

You can also try using an old bar of soap on the edges. That's always seemed to work for me.

I was orginaly thinking it was the belt and every one here thinks that would be the culprate as well so I just put in a new one. Its warmed up here in MN so I really dont know yet if it did the trick so once it cools off again I will let you all know.
