ID'ing CJ7 door part

Doing a door rebuild and I'm looking for a replacement part here but can't seem to find it online . I might just be having a senior moment but I can't figure out how to search for this clip? latch? It's metal and connects the exterior door handle rod to open the inside latch mechanism

Any help is appreciated

I don't believe I ever seen that part sold separately, was always part of the assy. that being said, I would probably try and source one used.

Similar to a YJ door latch. A used latch assembly will most likely be all that's available.
Have you tried to bend the tension fingers that hold the doorhandle latch rod in the clip?
