Anyone have suggestions on best radio to add for carplay, naviagation, camera etc? Looked at Stinger 10' radio, but not sure $1400 is worth it.

Lots of great options out there with all of the requirements you listed. I have an Alpine ILX-W650 and it is a great radio. I went with the Alpine because it is has a shallow profile. It’s about half as deep as other units which allowed me to have extra room for the Alpine compatible amp to install on the back of the unit. It does result in a decent bundle of wires behind it but it’s manageable. I suggest going to a reputable site and doing some research for a unit that fits your needs and budget requirements. I personally tend to go to Crutchfield because they will have the most current information on vehicles and radio compatibility. Their prices aren’t bad and support is there for you for the lifetime of your ownership of the radio.

Good Luck!

I too am interested in getting something that will work better than my uConnect 430. I have a 2016 JK Sport S and want to maintain my Sirus radio, steering wheel controls, and stock backup camera, all while getting Apple Car Play. I've done some research here and there but never quite know what else I would need in addition to the Stereo itself. I mean what sort of "adapter" or "interface" would be necessary to buy along with the stereo that would allow me to maintain the above mentioned things.

Thanks,

I have the Alpine ILX-107 which has wireless Carplay. However Alpine discontinued the model. I don't know why. I liked it so much I bought one for my other vehicle! You may be able to find one on eBay.

Edit

Found this listing...

You will need the iDatalink Maestro to have steering wheel button functionality.

You can add wireless CarPlay to most radios with a module for $100-120 Like I did.

I had the Alpine i207-WRA and loved it. I messed up the screen and now have the i407-WRA.
Not as feature rich but nice. I like the WRA versions as the wiring is simplified, camera is to add and the spacers are metal and to cheap plastic.
