We purchased our dream car, Military Green 2022 Jeep Wrangler 4xe! Purchased beginning of September. We got the red turtle of death light only three weeks later (1,400 miles driven). Went in to the shop for two weeks. Dealer claimed it was fixed, only for us to have to take it back less than 24 hours later. The next repair they claimed was completed in a week. Alas, Less than 16 hours later we had to take it back. So now they’ve had our Jeep since the end of October, waiting for part that apparently isn’t even in the U.S. yet.
Meets both Lemon law criteria for the 30 days in the shop as well as three times for the deslership to fix the problem. Signed paperwork for Lemon law refund from Jeep first week of November. How long is Jeep allowed to take to pay us back our $63,000??

As little as 30 days, and as long as 6 months.
was there no option to get a new vehicle instead of the $?
So when all of this happened, the business manager said we could swap it for another car on their lot, the finance manager said we could just pick a new vehicle, then the dealership Assistant Manager said we could just pick a replacement vehicle and they would undo the original contract. Then when the dealership manager got back he offered to “do a new deal” by having us trade in our new jeep at 75% of what we bought it for and work a new deal that way! Jackass said he couldn’t help us and to go ahead and do the lemon law lawsuit because it’s against Jeep and the dealer has nothing to do with it. He was a dick.

Sorry to hear. But just an fyi, lemon laws differ from state to state. So be sure to take any advice you get here with a grain of salt. But that Jackass is right that the defendant in a lemon lawsuit would be Jeep (well, technically FCA US LLC) and has nothing to do with the dealer. I'd say the best course of action would be to reach out to Jeep directly through their customer service 1-800 number and express your issues and request that they take back your car. If that goes south, then look into going the lawsuit route. Good luck

wow! I got my sarge green 2022 sahara 4xe in august. in the winter, my car wouldn’t start and would not heat up. it is now mag and my car is blinking with all lights, battery keeps dying and has been unable to move or take a charge. it went to the dealer, they said they fixed it and 24 hours later it’s done it again. mine was also $63,000. i’m in michigan, so our lemon law counts for 2 years with the car or 24,000 or less for miles. I am so sad and disappointed. This is my first jeep and I actually went to look at broncos today with the poor service of jeep that I have experienced each time I’ve had to go to the dealer. The dealer who sold me the car wouldn’t even email or call back, let alone answer. No one at the location I purchased from would answer. I hope you got your refund! Hoping to get one now too.

hard to think a Jeep is 63k. For a Sahara. the 2012 Rubicon we have was 33k new I ordered it. Thought that was a lot then. But then a base jeep was 21k. Go joe.
Right there with you Doc. 2011 JKU w/ all the bells, out the door at 26k. I figure i can just keep putting new everything in this and never get to these nutty prices. My baby still rides like new✌
