Location of side air bags in Wranglers

I've noticed that "side air bags" are an option on the new Wranglers. Does anyone have them in their late model Wrangler or know where they are installed? I know it can't be in the doors or roof since that would eliminate being able to remove them. Where else could they be installed and still protect from the side?

I have a '16 JKU and they are in the seats. Due to this you have to be careful if installing seat covers as you must ensure the covers are designed to accommodate the airbags.

Thanks guys. the local jeep dealer is new to Jeeps (a Ford dealer who recently purchased the Jeep dealership) and knows next to nothing about Jeeps, at least the salesmen don't. They are making a decent deal on a new Wrangler but I'm having to dig out my own information.

That isn't limited to new dealers, LOL. A month or so back, I went to look at a Hard Rock at a local dealer. Spent over an hour there educating the salesman on the jeep that he was trying to sell me. I did not buy the Hard Rock because I am waiting on a Recon but I have kept in touch with him through text and calls and he freely admits that I taught him more about Jeeps than their own training material did.

I'm a long-time Jeeper but the JK is a whole new animal to me so I credit this forum for all of my knowledge.
