P0501 - Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) Range/ Performance

anyone offer any help on this???? I could always take it to the dealer but they can sometimes be a pain without a loaner vehicle and what not. Is there a wiring diagram out there someone can scan in(i assume speed sensor is electronic). Also could you please offer advice on what caused this. My speedo just doesnt work but then in 2 hours i can get in the car again to go home and it works for 2 days then doesnt work again. where is the location of the sensor so i can check connections.

I think the speed sensor is in the side of the T-Case... a Haynes or Chiltons book should atleast tell you that.

yea its on the driver side of the tcase. its a plug that connects to a gear. make sure your plugged in and the wires are in good shape.
