howdy all I hope this isn't too stupid of a question

I was looking at some pics of YJ's here on the forum and I noticed that I seem to be missing rubber standoffs on our hood, for the windshield I assume, and also where the hood closes down to the body.
I have searched the net but I guess I'm not using the correct search terms for these rubber standoff things.

any help in locating these rubber things would be appreciated

Post a Pic, but I Am thinking your talking about the windshield tie downs

They are called hood bumpers

sorry the pic is not very good but if you look hard you can see a single hole on the left side and right side of the hood and 2 close together and further forward in the center of the hood.
The center one appears to be some sort of "tie down" that you mentioned. I have a smaller one these on the inside of the windshield.
also there are no rubber stops between the hood and the body.

Yea your missing the tie down kit

My jeeps got 2 holes on both sides for a "loop" then 2 in the center for the footmens loop. No rubber stoppers. :-(

I searched that term for my jeep and these don't seem to be what I saw in the forum pics

I am attaching a pic of what I'm talking about for the hood to body rubber. I don't know who's jeep this is and I hope he doesn't mind me using part of his pic. There seems to be 2 different types of bumpers in this area.

OK. Using new search terms "bumpers, tiedown, footmans loop and grommets" I found all the rubber bits and pieces I need for our YJ

Yeah single hole newer hood so get the kit for a TJ.

The rubber piece on to of the fender that goes in the double hole is called a hood to fender grommet. I found it on shopjeepparts.com for $4.

I just ordered the hood to grill and hood to fender grommets I also ordered 2 extra grommets for the hood and the footman tie down.
