Hey, new Wrangler owner here with just over 1,000 km on it.
Love the vehicle and the sky one touch roof but something came up yesterday and I'm not sure if it's normal or not.
First off, I have a Thule Roof Rack installed and I was going to pick up a canoe yesterday. On the drive back, with the roof closed there was a hell of a lot of noise coming from above the from passenger side roof area. When I looked up I could see the roof essentially bouncing/flexing up and down once I got above 75 km an hour. I had some initial concerns here but I ultimately just kept the speed to 100km/h and turned up the music.
Later once the canoe was removed I noticed at highway speeds the roof doing the same thing, less noise without the canoe. So I'm chalking the extra noise to the canoe straps but my question is around the roof. Has anyone else noticed the roof bouncing/flexing up and down constantly when at speed? My main concern is that having the roof rack/canoe has put additional pressure from the wind down on the roof and caused some sort of issue.
