Hey guys,

I installed the JScan app on my phone and used my bluetooth connector to hack the brain of my JK. Pretty cool. I looked at all of the diagnostic codes over the history of my ride. Cleard them and used the Adaptation section to change my tire diameter to 30.5". That was cool too. Now my speedo is dead on. I then swiched up my fogs to stay on when my brights are on. That always bugged me. My truck GMC works that way too.

What other handy things have you guys done with your JScan?

Just curious.

I used it to adjust my drag link so that my steering wheel was at 0.0° all while laying under the jeep and looking at my phone. Once I had it at 0.0°, I locked the jam nut in place and went for a drive. Steering wheel is dead nuts straight.

You will need an OBDII adapter. There is a list of them on the Jscan website that will work without any problems.

I have the iCar Pro in my Jeep and it has worked every time since I bought it a few years ago. I have the OBDLink MX in my F350 that seems to work pretty good with Forscan so far.

You will really appreciate the Jscan when the check engine light is on with a code and you need to see the live data information out of one of the modules to help with identifying the issue vs just buying parts and guessing what the issue is. It takes some study sometimes but the ability to see the signals from the sensors and devices in real time is considerably more valuable than the adaptation changes. Always before I used a dedicated scan tool on my vehicles but since learning how to access the module information on jscan the scan tool is only for the other vehicles, jscan is the first choice when servicing the jeeps.
