I have a 2011 jk sport. I'm attempting to take my doors off, but it appears they have never been off. The paint around the hinge is intact, not broken, in other words, it's sealing the door to the hinge.
Any suggestions? I need to break the seal, but a screwdriver will chip the surrounding paint.

Yes. The hinge pin should come out the top? Correct? But it's sealed from the factory paint. I think I'm just im going to have to bust it loose. Just wondered if there was another way. Tapping the pin up from the bottom?
I haven't taken them off before, so I'm new at it.

Look at the bottom of the hinge, is there a Torx head on there? You have to remove that nut before the door will lift out of the hinge.

Spray the heck out of the hinge pin area with WD40 or some penetrant and let it soak for a while. If the doors still won't budge, try using some wood blocks and a floor jack to initially get the pins to rise 1/2" or so out of the hinges. If you tap gently with a rubber mallet in the location shown in the pic it helps get things started. Then remove the jack and finish removing the doors by hand. That's how I had to do mine the first time. Grease the pins before reinstalling.

Remove the hinge nut: What the hinge looks like when door is removed:
I put a magnet about the size of a softball near the bottom of the hinge. If the socket slips while removing the torx bolt, hopefully the magnet will protect the paint.

Put the strap back on until you round up the rednecks or you will be in for an unpleasant suprise

I bought a 10' used and almost had a coronary getting them off the first time. I like the 2x4 method, should have done that......

Now I grease each time I put them on, like a butter

Done. Sprayed hell out of it with lubricant. Then pulled it into my garage, threw a winch strap over a beam. Put the strap through the top part of the door and tightened, opening and closing (not all the way) the door. It eventually started loosening, the door was coming away from the hinge. The inside of the hinge, plastic molding, came apart.
