I was wondering if any of y'all have a minimum temperature in which you will remove the top and/or the doors? I was just curious on how cold you will be before you close your Jeep up. My minimum seems to be about 70°F and not any rain in the 7 day forecast. What about y'all?

I've done minimum of 35*-45*F, no rain, only safari top for couple out of town trips. Generally the doors usually come off in April and don't go back on till like October. Temperature ranges from 45s* to 115s*F. Right now the lows are in the 40s/50s*F and highs are 70s*F, unusually warm for January, so the doors are off for now.

I'm with Traumahead. ;-) I usually take mine off around April/May and they don't go back on until October. Summer needs to hurry up and get here already.

50's for the top and when it hits 60 the doors to come off. On the opposite end if we are going to have temps over 100 for several days in a row the top and doors go back on. My JKU is my DD and rush hour when it is over 100 gets to be a beating

I put the sun rider flap down the other day in about 42* that was a bit chilly. Going to need to be at least 55 before I do either the full top or doors.

Did see a TJ without doors at around the same temperature the day before I tried my SR down.

Yea, I lived in FL for 15 years....I know what you consider REALLY cold!! It is about -30 windchill here right now!

My garage is full of tools so my top only comes off when the forcast says no rain. And my wife starts complaining when it's below 65 with top off!!

mine came off yesterday, 60*F, l drove 40 miles to town , left the doors on and windows up (full doors-wish they were 1/2) very pleasant and refreshing! Bought a Bestop Bikini and put it on when I got home, I think I'll want the mesh top in summer, I don't like the stock soft top rails and bows-interfere too much with my plans for a rack in back plus the "all closed in" feeling...no winter here this year so its all good

I'll put the top down at about 50...don't run doorless as it freaks the wife out (she has issues at 65mph on the highway without doors).

My wife is the same way. I bought trail doors for it, and now she loves not having the doors on as long as the trail doors are on. I love the look as well.

Doors on top off, i will do down to about 30-35 degrees, if I am the only one in the jeep. If my kids (6 and 3) or wife are in the jeep, about 50 degrees is the limit.

I love the heat on, open air and cool breeze down the back of my neck on cooler days

We remove the top for about 3 days out of the year. Other than that it stays on, as our Jeep is my wife's DD. There's just something about driving back and forth to work in the sweltering heat and humidity here in the Midwest in the summer months that doesn't appeal to her. Neither does getting soaked in the rain.

The doors never come off - no reason to do so.

Top Down, Doorless - March - October 2013

N.VA, took the top down first week of Mar. 3rd week of Mar the doors came off. They were off for 7 months. The temps were between 35-42* in March. I can atest to pulling the top up before it hits 50*. Other wise your going to spend a while getting it latched into place & putting the windows back in.

I did have 5 showers in the jeep last year. & had to remove the seats & carpets 3 times. 3 days later, everything was dry.

The top will come down & doors off in 2014 when I know were not going to get any more snow in N.VA. Temps don't matter. Just dress for the conditions. :iamhappy:

I rarely go doorless. I might take fronts off occasionally, but never remove the rear because I have a dog and he feels more comfortable with doors on. Top off it needs to be 70 and at least two days with no rain. In Dallas, we were 74 today and going to be 35 for a high tomorrow. I can't be the only one that hates cold weather!!!

Sold my hardtop and I'm going to get the trektop installed at a shop about 5 miles from me next Tuesday (too cold to do it at home) and its supposed to be low 20s that day. That will be my coldest topless ride. I'll be wearing thermals and my hunting overalls. Normally doors and top off late May through September here in NE Ohio, unless its raining then run just top no windows. Pull the carpet and the plugs, get waterproof seat covers and enjoy the freedom!

50 as the low for when the top comes down. Doors, maybe a bit warmer. Usually keep them on as I don't have too much garage space for 4 doors, just weekend outings when they come off.

Wow that is specific and an incredibly limited range. Ever try a bikini top or maybe spider shade with doors off on the 80-90 days? That might get you a bit more options.

Anyway I found last year that from low 60's to 70 or so I needed the doors on or I was wearing a jacket. No top at that point. Anything higher then 70 and doors and top were off. I think the coldest I rode no top (but with doors on) was mid 50's and then it was time to close her up.

This summer will be different as I'm going with no carpet, drain plugs out, waterproof seat covers, trektop NX in bikini mode and no doors all spring/summer/fall. I just got the NX and a full set of 2 piece Bestop super doors so if it's really cold or really storming I can throw full fabric doors and rear windows on if need be (like when the family is in the Jeep).
