2000 TJ Sahara right rear turn signal blinking fast. Bulb is good, so is fuse in glove compartment. Any ideas what I need to do from here? Thanks.
I have found that a fast blinking bulb (on one side only) meant that the flasher relay needed to be replaced.

A high speed flash on the dash signals there is high resistance somewhere in the circuit. As Jerry mentioned, if all lamps are good, the most common place is corroded sockets.

The relay is behind the dash panel just over the steering wheel, but I kind of doubt that it's your issue.

Thanks for the input. I've read several other posts online and some say new relay has fixed the problem. How would I go about cleaning corroded sockets?
First pull all the bulbs and look at them. If they look corroded, just use a little piece of sand paper on them. Are all the lights blinking when they're on including the side markers? What if you turn on your hazards?...they use the same relay flasher, so if your hazards work okay, it's not the relay. If your hazards do work normally, cycle them off and on a few times, then try the turn signals.

I am still learning about Jeeps, but every vehicle I have owned had 1 relay for the turn signals & 1 relay for the hazards.
If you do have 2 relays, and they are the same part number, you could switch them, then see if you have the same situation.

I am having this same problem in my 01 Sahara except it it the left side. The only strange thing is that it works normal until I turn on the lights. If I turn them on it blinks fast, but if I shut them off while blinker is still going it will stop. I replaced all bulbs and flasher still can't figure this out.

I just had this happen the other day...blinker just suddenly started flashing fast.
It turned out to be the socket. I pulled out the bulb, and it looked good, but while fussing with the corroded contacts inside the socket, one of them fell out. (broke off...due to corrosion).

luckily, the socket just plugs in to the wiring harness, and I got a replacement for 12 bucks from the dealer. e-z fix.

It's a new federal regulation, by way of executive order. If you don't have new double speed flashers, you pay minimum essential gas prices (2x the pump price). It's a general safety concern; a new study shows that slower flashers are dangerous and cause more deaths.

The extra money you pay buys gas and vehicles for people who won't pay for their own.

... we have banned selling of parts for the old inadequate cut rate substandard flashers that you only thought you liked better
If the part is something that you need, the government will no longer sell it to you. However, if it's a part that you DONT need, they've got a whole stockpile of 'em, just waiting to take your tax dollars away from you.

Come on down.

Try tighting the screws that mount the assembly to the body...
I think you're on to something here.
Usually, when my TJ's right rear turn signal starts blinking fast, (if traffic allows) I get out and "thump" that turn signal assembly, & it starts blinking at the proper speed again.
