Upgrade to MyGig touchscreen radio?

I have a 2008 Wrangler Sahara with a stock non touchscreen radio (I am hearing poping noises now and again) . It does not have uconnect - so no Bluetooth. I have 2 questions:
1- Can I put a used MyGig touchscreen (I believe PN P05064879AG) in my jeep with no issues?
2- Can I buy a module to give me Bluetooth? I know I can buy the entire uconnect system - but I am really only interested in streaming Bluetooth audio.

Thanks,
CB

If you add a Jeep 430N radio, you will need all of the associated modules to utilize Bluetooth with that radio. You will also have to get the correct version for your Wrangler- they come in "high speed" and "low speed" databus versions, depending on the vehicle they are going to be mounted in.

If you want an OEM touch screen radio, you would be better off finding a 730N (again, available in low and high speed databus versions) as it has UConnect built-in. If cost is an issue, a good aftermarket radio from a reputable brand (double DIN can be had for around $400, around $150 for a single DIN) that will give you better Bluetooth, better sound quality for less than either OEM option, unless you score a smoking deal on a used one.

^^ this site will give you all the information you need in order to select the correct OEM radio, and will also sell the associated pieces to make things work.

The most fool-proof way would probably be to contact the company above, and have them confirm whether the '08 Wrangler uses a Can-B or Can-C databus. These OEM navigation units use the databus to communicate with the Jeep's TIPM aka Totally Integrated Power Module. I know they will sell you a unit that is compatible (and back that up, make it right should it not be).

^^ this thread here on the forum suggests it is Can-C (high speed canbus)

If you want to source a used 730N on your own, keep in mind these radios were originally sold in both Can-B and Can-C versions, depending on which vehicle it was originally destined for, and most times the seller may not know the difference. There are also differences in backlighting color and the programmed home screens (Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep) with these radios. If you buy a refurbished unit from a vendor, these should be programmed correctly compared to buying used, but then again backlighting color and home screen may not matter much to you.

My last two JKs came with navigation from the factory, and I only came to learn the differences when shopping for a 730N unit to retrofit in my Dad's '08 Grand Cherokee (which uses Can-B aka low speed canbus). I abandoned the mission when he didn't like the price of a correct unit being sold used for a good price. He was hoping to inherit the 430N from my '16, but IIRC it uses high speed databus, and I am not ready to upgrade my radio.
