Dropped off the Jeep for a recall and coolant flush. I know there's a huge difference between the two coolants for pre 2012's and post. Mine's a 2010. I do get confused between the color of GOAT and HOAT coolants. Furthermore I'm not sure which one I need and have no idea what the difference is. Soooo, what color should my coolant be in my 2010 when I pick it up and is it HOAT or GOAT and whats the difference between the two?

^^^The one on the left that says 5 years, or 100,000 miles..(HOAT).
HOAT and OAT are not compatible!
If you try to go by the color it can be confusing. Purple OAT looks reddish-orange in the radiator and recovery bottle after some time.

One more thing. HOAT and OAT are sold in concentrate and in 50/50 premix. For replenishing the overflow tank, I prefer the 50/50 mix, as it's easy and pretty much foolproof. For coolant change, concentrate will be easier on the wallet. Just make sure you watch the proportions.
