My new 2017 JK in Rhino is ordered and on it's way. It will be replacing my black JK 2012 with the silver AEV wheels on it.

The silver AEV wheels I have are in amazing shape and I like thee look of them and look GREAT on my black Jeep, but I am thinking they are NOT the best color choice for the newer Rhino paint???

I am considering having them painted or powder coated in a different color, plus new tires, them install on the 2017.

Any opinions on colors or what to do here???

I think they would look great in a gunmetal color or like AEV's Onyx paint. Plus the fallback is always black. It would be really cool to find someone to color match paint them Rhino.

My 2017 Willys has stock wheels and I think they're perfect. You will be surprised how well they compliment the rhino paint.

Unless I was considering extreme terrain, I wouldn't consider changing them.

Good Luck!
I think the OP is implying keeping the AEV wheels.

I sold my ATX Mojave Teflon wheels to a dude with Rhino. They're practically color matched.

I'd almost say that's Anvil. Hard to tell in the pic.

I would say gunmetal on wheels. Black will darken the Jeep too much in my opinion.

Glad you asked this question, I just picked up my Rhino JKU last week. Ive also been having trouble deciding on what color wheels I should put on it. I think those AEVs in silver might look good on it. Gunmetal also might look good, unfortunately I dont think their are many gunmetal wheels out there. Black might kind of just blend with the paint, especially in the dark.

Take a picture for me if you put those silver AEVs on there!

I might try the AEVs on it as silver first, but I cannot imagine it looking any different color wise as the stock MOAB aluminum wheels like yours has on it right now??? :/ (Same color basically.)

Thing is I can get the wheels coated just about ANY color under the Sun,but just DO NOT really know how to color co ordinate with the strange Rhino color???

I'm in the same boat. I honestly can't decide and think black gray or silver looks great. I think the factory silver moabs look great on there, so not sure I can justify the cost of new wheels when I have something I like so much already. which is probably a good thing for my credit card....

If it were me, I'd keep those savegres in silver, but any color will look awesome.

I have the same AEV wheels on my Silver 2012 JKR in black. I think you should paint or powder coat them black. I have seen a few Willys Wheelers in Rhino that come with the black MOABs. I think black wheels look great on a Rhino Jeep.

Here is a Rhino AEV with black Savegre wheels:
Forgive my crappy Microsoft "paint" skills, but What do you think about this???

Matt Black wheels with all silver accents. I leave the outer ring on the wheel silver. S Steel lug nuts and wheel center????

Help me out guys with a sort of ignorant question. I have not seen Rhino in person and I don't trust my monitor. Is it dark blue? Is it grey?

A "loaded" question for sure! (It tends to change looks in different lighting conditions.)

Dark grey with dark "bluish" hue to it....... If their is no sunlight outside....

Lighter grey looking in sunlight......

Cannot tell you under artificial lighting ?????
