Picked up our new 2024 Rubicon X 4xE. Drove yesterday no problem. 120 miles. Plugged it in last night with level one charger. Got a notice this morning around 7:30am that charging had stopped even though it wasn’t fully charged. Drive a mile down the road and the battery light and check engine light come on. Park it for an hour. Get in it to drive home and everything is haywire. Bunch of lights on and it went into turtle mode. Switched to to e-save and it would drive until I let off the gas and then it was back to turtle mode. Limped home thankfully. Now it is sitting in the garage and the battery pack is cycling through, clicking on and off. Screen on and off, red lights flashing on charging lights. Interior lights won’t turn off and now it won’t start.

What in the world?? Off to the dealer I guess next week 🤦‍♀️

here's my story:

Rubicon Dies - Service Trans - Blind Spot Warning unavailable | Jeep Wrangler Forums (JL / JLU) -- Rubicon, 4xe, 392, Sahara, Sport - JLwranglerforums.com

UPDATE: Jan 3rd 2024 - just about 4 weeks in Service - start date was 12/7 - Jeep (the factory tech) first said Replace Oil and Filter for the transmission, which according to my dealer (the way i understood it), required the bottom plate of the transmission (holding the filter internally) and new transmission oil...(was this a simple stall tactic?)

- around 12/20-21.......2 weeks in i get a call from my dealer, saying the factory contacted them, and the new plan was to replace the transmission - the transmission was shipped, received 12/29 and installed today 1/3 - they are testing tomorrow and will let me know if it's ready to take home (for further testing) :CWL:

- i learned that there is in fact a clutch inside the front of the transmission, and that seems (at the moment) to be the faulty part

- the factory wanted the transmission left intact (oil not drained) and shipped back

- when i asked about the simple 12v battery solution they laughed, saying exactly what i thought...."we wish it was that simple" -- i guess it remains to be seen, we shall see ;)
