Not trying to start a war with my first post LOL My daughter in law is looking for a used jeep. I do not have the jeep experience to answer this question she has. All vehicle makers have lemons that they make and some of the same year have zero problems. Thank you for your input.

Sorry for my part in that. I seem to have a talent for that sort of thing. I'm glad to have this collective to toss my problems among to get thoughts from those who really know these machines. I count on them to help me nurse an old high miles beast along. I know a Jeep would generally make a better secondary or just for fun stuff ride than a daily driver but for now my reality is driving a thirsty, old, well worn JKU for all my transportation needs.

Thank you again for all the info. Found a great jeep for my daughter in law. Mint condition 2015 Wrangler sport unlimited bone stock with only a back up camera added, with only 35k on it. Jumped on it jeeps like that go quick. Hopefully my last trip to Northern Virginia. As they say if you know you know.
