Hi All,

I looked and looked but can't find an issue quite like mine. When I accelerate from a stop up to about 10-15mph I hear a slight whistle. Yes, it's a whistle and not a whine, screech, or clank. It goes away after I reach mph over 10-15mph and usually after 1st gear. It sounds like it's coming from the front or underneath me where my feet are. Is it just excess air escaping? I checked for leaks and there are none.

My tranny shifts perfectly fine, temps stay under 175 on max load, and everything is smooth. It's just the silly whistle. I will be going on a 2k mile road trip in December, and need to know it wont die on me on the way. Should I be worried? I would be more wary if it shifted funky.

A useful note: This is my third transmission in the Jeep (declined a buy back). Any ideas?

Do You have a light bar? They're known for whistles and then people complaining about said whistle. When did it start?
No Lightbar.... BUT that is a valid point.. I did happen to install Warn Fog lights with my MOPAR bumper, but wouldn't it be very prevalent at higher speeds? I hear nothing after 1st gear.

I'll give it a whirl. I will loosen them and change their direction and see if that works. Thanks! Will post back tomorrow.
