Ordered some Pixiedecals (Rubicon) and did not get anything in the envelope about installation. Is install the same as their hood decal with soapy water or are these stickers? I tried calling but no one answering at pixie decals.

Do it the same way as the hood, thats how i did it, and it worked great. Soapy water, then smooth out, any bubbles will go away after sitting in the sun for awhile.

I googled vinyl decal installation and found several videos showing how it's done. I didn't use soapy water.

Just measure and tape the decal with backing paper on hood making a "hinge" with the tape. Make a good crease with the tape hinge. Lift it up and remove the backing. Then carefully lower it while keeping it taught. Smooth it out with a credit card.

Much easier to view the videos instead of reading my ramble.

You can use soapy water not. It's up to you. The soapy water allows the decal to float on the surface, which allows you to position it correctly. As the water/soap evaporates, the adhesive comes in contact with the surface and you're all set.

For small decals, it's not too hard to do a "dry" install. The hood blackout decal is a different story.

First, sorry for misspelling the name of the company. Didn't mean to reduce their company name to tiny girls with wings. Decals came out great. Went with a little soapy water to have a safety net. Attached is a crappy picture. I am getting so much glare off the car. I will try it tomorrow in the daylight. Thanks again for the info.

Would like to see another picture but so far...lovin' it!

Place the decal with the wax paper pn both sides where you want it. Use some masking tape along the top of the wax paper to form a hinge. Flip the decal up and remove the wax paper on the sticky side of the decal. Flip the decal back over and smooth it out. Slowly remove the top wax paper (and the masking tape) making sure the decal isn't sticking on the wax paper, but on the Jeep. Get rid of any bubles and you are done.
