Thanks. I will try again installing it. I did not pay attention on percentage progress the last few times. I remembered seeing it near an end at 80% or so then popped out "PND Update Complete" without seeing an end and installation bars.

Please try this shared link for Garmin 7.11 and report good news on JCV update.

Ok guys so updated to 7.11 and 2019.30 w matching jvc. No luck on them so I’m stuck ugh. Really like jvc..

Hoping to see some fruit on getting Junction Views back. I have a Dodge Durango with an RHB and the 2019.30 maps loaded as supplemental. Currently at 7.11 with 50.01.01.
Welcome to the Forum.

Stuck at 5.19 to 7.11 software update 😞

2014 JKU 430n RHB
This past year the CANT UNLOCK MAPS & detailed maps are required for routing ..... error messages appeared. Never updated 430n, maps, or connect prior.

Got down the forum hole of reading all the threads and initially updated firmware to 50.xx.xx, with 5.19 garmin and original 2014 map that wasn’t being found 006-D1414-09

Downgraded to 33.02.01 as recommended
Software.
Next step as recommended was to
Upgrade 5.19 garmin software to 7.11, I insert usb, it prompts “ a new version of software is detected , current software 5.19, update software 7.11 do you wish to update?”

I select YES, it then after 15-30 second displays PND did not update, and eventually in the background original can’t ublock maps error

If I could get the 5.19 to 7.11 upgrade to work I believe my next step would be to update the map, then update the firmware to the 50.xx.xx with the downloaded ISO to thumb drive found on the thread.

Can’t get passed the 5.19 to 7.11 upgrade

Any recommendations?
Thanks so much this has been so frustrating.

Yes, I did

To troubleshoot it best I grabbed 6 new thumb drives in FAT32 format.
put
7.09 update
7.11 update
33.02.01 downgrade
50.xx.xx upgrade
updated map
Garmin.txt drive

starting from scratch to work my way through it
1. downgrade to 33
2. upgrade 5.19 to 7.09 or 7.11 ( currently I can't get past this, stuck at PND DID NOT UPDATE )
3. if I can get past 2, upgrade map
4. update firmware to 50.xx.xx

This all started from the CANT UNLOCK MAPS blinking too DETAILED MAPS ARE REQUIRED FOR ROUTING< NO DETAILED MAPS WERE FOUND ON THIS UNIT.. to after updating the unit started the BLINKING GARMIN GUIDANCE screen.

Couldn't be more frustrating. Going to be patient, trying to do things step by step in zero rush. Following everyones advice on forum and the TSB.

Any advice to get past step 2 would be great.
Thanks everyone!

So, you did the step-by-step below EXACTLY as they did, including creating the garmin folder and making sure the 7.11 files were unzipped into it?

Find and download software version 7.11. It was tough for me to find a link to it, so I was sure to save it. I'm not good at file linking, but try this:

https://drive.google.com/open?id=1ra...CH2EisAM_wdxbZ

This is the "gupdate" file you will see referenced. If the link doesn't work, post here and I'll try again!

Format a usb drive to FAT32 and create a single folder named "garmin". Unzip the 7.11 software into it.

Put the USB in the USB slot in the front of the radio. Hold down the "media" "radio" & "menu" buttons on your radio for 7 seconds. An engineering menu will appear. Go to PND, then "emergency update". It will only take about 10 minutes to run the update.

Immediately afterwards, my nav works and responds to button presses faster than it ever has before. It also shows the radio model as RHB 17 now instead of RHB15.

Thank You to Everyone for being so helpful as I'm sure at one time you have also been as frustrated by this!

I have been able to go up to 50.xx.xx with 7.11, NAV screen is back to GARMIN GUIDANCE blinking LOOP ...

have followed users of this Forums step by step Map instructions and can't get it to take any of the gmapsupp.img that others have said they had success with.

Any advice on this would help. P.S. if Garmin LOOP is back do I have to start over again, or am I only trying to correct MAP update now?

Hello friends!
I have read all this and other threads and other forums, I can say that I have learned quite a lot about the RHB system.

I have a 2011 Avenger with RHB430N with OEM CN North America 2014 maps and I want to install South America 2020 maps.
I have done everything, upgrades, downgrades from version 33.02.01 to 50.01.01 and tested with gmapprom and gmapsupp maps.

I started testing with fw 33 and gmapprom and then gmapsupp and nothing ...
Then the update to 50.xx with a USB stick without problems, then the unit did't take the downgrades so I burn CDs with firmware 33 and 50.
What happened is that I was never able to install the new maps, so I made the decision to edit the gupdate.gcd of version 50.01.01 with RGN Tool, adding to the pk_files_6605.zip the "gmapprom.img" map of only 2 countries in South America (270mb), and adding it to the gupdate.gcd again. The firmware of the unit was updated to 50.xx but pressing NAV the LOAD ... LOADING screen apeared without progressing.
I decided to install 33.xx in dealer mode and it was resolved, I was able to get into Garmin navigation again.

So I did a new update procedure to 50.xx again with a "gmapsupp.img" map in the gupdate.gcd...the unit firmware was updated fine but pressing NAV left LOADING message without changes along minutes...
-I decided again to downgrade to 33 with the CD, the unit's firmware went back again but the Garmin nav did't change..."LOADING...LOADER" message;
-I did the same with fw 50.xx and nothing (always the Garmin Loading screen)
-I tried with an USB flash drive in fat32, with the Garmin/gupdate.gcd folder (original 5.11 version) and it doesn't repair it;
-I tried with an USB stick with gupdate.gcd 5.19 and nothing
-I tried a USB stick with gupdate.gcd 7.11 and nothing

I want to remember that now when trying to force the installation from Dealer Mode with the 33 or 50 CDs do not respond, the "PND did not install" automatically appears after a few seconds ... and when I insert the firmwares directly on the radio (without entering dealer mode) they goes fine but nothing changes on Garmin sat nav, so I estimate that it modifies unit system logs but does not modify Garmin logs.

Another fact is that when entering Dealer Mode and entering GPS Info the lines are displayed without any information ...

Tomorrow I will try to burn the 5.11 Garmin/gupdate.gcd on a CD and see if I can repair and exit the LOADER screen ... but honestly I don't know what else to do.

If I press the PND> 8.3 Restore Factory Defaults button, then the OK button...it doesn't do anything else, it doesn't restart the system, nothing ... (maybe it simply do that ... I don't know if the Restore does a longer procedure or it just ends there).

I honestly have no way to get out of LOADER LOADING ...

Any ideas?
Thank you!!!

Don't Give Up...:pc-ouch:
Got this to work relatively quickly with my 2013 town and country.

Used this ISO to upgrade to 50.01.01 both the NAV and radio, since I can't update using Chrysler/uConnect anymore (430N RHB is end of lifed).

Renamed a gapprom.img to

USBcard/Garmin/gmapsupp.img

from a forum that tracks the latest releases:

View forum - New Maps

Took an hour. After it updated in the software twice (NAV then radio update) it did the map too.

Easy peasy.

Code:
So I did a new update procedure to 50.xx again with a "gmapsupp.img" map in the gupdate.gcd...the unit firmware was updated fine
My gmapsupp.img was next to my /Garmin/gcdupdate.gcd in my (fat32) usb drive, not inside the file (which is another archive you can open in 7zip).

Insert drive.
Start van.
NAV update starts after couple minutes
Reboot
Radio update
Reboot (black screen, turned on manually)
Map update started
Drive to get coffee... And don't Backup/turn off vehicle

Can't upgrade Garmin software from 3.0 - 430N 2011
Hello friends,
I am unable to update the Garmin software on a 2011 RHB 430N after version 3.00 to attempt a map update. It was originally on version 23.02.01 and Garmin Software 2.30, I updated it to 3.00 with 33.01.23. When I updated to 50.00.07 it did not update the Garmin software, only the radio software. Then I tried with 50.01.01, same result, then I tried only with gupdate.gcd from Garmin version 5.11, same result, it always gives the message "PND did not update". Then with 5.19, same message.
No matter what file you use, I always get the same PND did not update message, and it's impossible to get past Garmin version 3.00.
I have completely wiped the memory from the Nonvol Memory from the hidden menu and nothing.
I understand that the 2011-2012 versions are different from the following, but it is impossible and I do not understand why I cannot update it.
Could someone give me an idea of possible problem and solution?
Thank you very much to all!

what I have done at this time:

have all the newest maps and I tried all the ways to upload them:
USB, Format FAT32, Folder Garmin -> gmapprom.img, then gmapupp.img and still comes message - the map update provided is not compatible with your navigation system.
