Hey yall,
I was able to finally get my dream car a month ago and now I have a 2016 wrangler unlimited. It currently has a hard top which is nice for the snow around where I go to school but over the summer I want to take it off. I don't have a garage to park her in so what bikini tops do yall recommend that I can just throw on in the event of rain? I am on a tight college budget.

Welcome Aboard. If you are looking for Bikini Tops Bestop would be a very most common place to go. Being as you are on a college budget it will not be the cheapest. I have seen others mentioned different brands before so hopefully they can chime in or you could try the search function on the forum. There are other cheaper options on amazon and other sites but quality/price will vary. Lloyd's option is a cheaper one and would work while you are parked.

For parking it in rain or weather, you'll want a trail top. A bikini top doesn't keep much of anything out except sunlight from the driver's head. For driving in the rain, I recommend a full soft or hard top.

Even though not a Bikini I would say the best one is part of the Trektop Pro Soft Top. This is a full top but it is a year round top with glass windows, no more vinyl or zippers to deal with. The side windows have sliders so you can open them, flip the Sunrider back and there is no buffeting. Remove all the glass, Bestop sells a Storage Portfolio to protect your glass while its out and you now have a very waterproof bikini. Going naked is not as easy but I have done it on many occasions.

Oh heck yeah! Not as cost effective as the OP wanted I think but the top deck of any of our Trektops is my favorite type of bikini. Bikini with a Sunrider feature!!

I would keep your eye's on craigslist. Sometimes you can find a full soft top, brand new, for a decent price. I have both but the new soft tops are nice enough you could run one year around without and issues at all. Just keep it folded down behind the seat in the summer, you'll always have it with you. Being on a budget you could sell your hard top, buy a soft top, and put some cash in your pocket. Thats what I would do if I were in your shoes.
