If you buy it, Spree, in order to maintain value I'd keep the red leather seats. If you can afford it, buy some takeoff cloth seats and put the reds in your basement. You can always sell them later if they're in great condition. This I can guarantee -- they'll be worth more later than they are now. Why? All the guys with 10As who wear out their first set, all the guys with 10As who buy it used with black seats but really want the red seats, and the random Anvil Rubicon owners who want to build a Tribute 10A. But right now there aren't many of any of those categories. But let the 10A get a bit older and you'll be able to get a decent price for them if they're in Time-Capsule condition.
If you can't find or afford a set of cloth seats, at least leave the reds in and put Trek Armor (now called Bartact) seat covers over them. You should do that anyway, whether you like the red seats or not. They are fantastic covers.
And the above assumes you keep the 10A forever and never grow to love the red seats and finally decide to sell them. But if you go to sell the 10A, you'll also want those seats installed in it for max value.

In the 911 world, 2014 was the 50th anniversary model and it could be had with special 1964-looking houndstooth seats (fabric called Pepita), or you could opt out and get any of the standard leathers. Many really dislike the Pepita and ordered with a standard black or dark grey seat. But even now, three model years later, the Pepita is a highly acclaimed look, unavailable OEM anywhere except in the 911/50. In 10 years a set of original seats in like-new condition will trade for $10,000 or more. At that time, every single person who has a "vintage" 911/50 will want it to be one with the distinctive seats.
