I am looking at a 2022 Jeep wrangler Willys tomorrow I am going to take it for a test drive. The dealership is offering me 38K for my 2015 jk!!!!! Please give me your thoughts about the Willys please. What should I look for? My only concern is my JK has a check Engen light miss fire #2 I have replaced spark plugs injectors coil packs and it still says it has a miss fire (but it doesn't) should I tell them what I have done? It was not by dealership so there is no record of it.
Thanks

Prior to your test drive, check if the tires are inflated to 40+ PSI. You can do this by scrolling through the electronic display on the instrument panel. Overinflated tires will exacerbate a wandering steering feel and will stiffen the ride.

Good luck.

I bought a 2022 2-door Willys myself :) Love it! My tires were inflated to 43/44 psi... insane! I lowered them to 34 or 35 psi and the ride/handling it 100x better. I also took someone's advice and checked all my fuses under the hood and at least 50% of them weren't depressed/clicked all the way in. Unbelievable. It runs and rides so much better ... I also swapped out the 7" radio for the 8.4' one so I could get SiriusXM (ordered the gps/siriusXM antenna too I stuck under the dash behind the radio). I also took the rock rails off and put some side steps on that also protect from rocks, and swapped the plain rear tail lights for some LED ones.. replaced the hood latches with locking ones too.. LOVE MY WILLYS!!!

Not trying to steal his thread... but two quick questions.

Do you have a link for those hood locks? They look great! And after adding a fuel lock, it's the one lock I need to add.

Second; How hard was the 7 to 8" swap? I'm thinking of doing it myself. Did everything work? (Seriously, everything?) Any stumbles getting it working?

Thanks so much man! Love your ride btw, looks great!

(Sorry OP, promise I won't go beyond this and his reply -- should he reply)

My 2017 2dr Willys was all I ever wanted in a Jeep Wrangler, sold it after 2 1/2 years, now thinking about buying another new Willys. Best bang for the buck out there, comes with 90% of everything you need for general off roading and my 2017 drove very well on the highway. My tire pressure was set at what the factory sticker said was the recommended tire pressure and that worked well for me.

Willys is a great way to go, enjoy the new ride and don't offer up any information on the old one and if asked say the least. Dealerships are like being pulled over by the cops, anything you say can be used against you on your trade in.

Brought home my Willys just 2 weeks ago! I love it. The Willys package is pretty sweet and seems like a good value. I just didn't like the hood decal, so I took it off.
Mine does have the Xtreme Recon package.

Good call on checking pressure before leaving the dealer. Mine were at 47 psi!!!

That is the cleanest, most uncluttered and empty garage I have ever seen in my life!

Naw, that radio swap was easy as hell .. infotainment.com has them with the instructional video.. just grab the antenna (the better more expensive one that does both gps/siriusxm). I opted to shove the antenna behind the radio under the dash, instead of the roll bar up top (didn't want to tie strap wires all over the roll bar down and into the dash..). As for the hood latches... uh ... CJ Pony Parts site maybe? or wait.. extreme terrain's site maybe? .. sheesh.. I'll have to try to find my email receipt!

I thinking of ordering a new Willys to replace my 2017 which has a military theme and go with a bright colored Willys, remove the Willys decals and install the older style Islander decals. Now I just need Bikini Pearl to be offered again to get the combination I want.
