I currently have a 4.0 5 speed 3.73 on 32s. i am going to re-gear in a couple of months to install a rear locker designed for a 3.92 and higher ratio.

The issue here is that i am going to install 33s but not very soon, just when they wear out, which is at least a year.

My question here is will the 4.56 be too low for 32s to drive around for about a year? I want to do everything once.

I think you'll be fine, but 4.56 will be a little deep on 32's.

I am 4.10 and 33's and happy. I run alloy wheels and lighter BFG TA/KO's get around 15 city and 17 highway when I baby it. driving normal I get about 14.

There would barely be a difference between 3.73s and 4.10s. Go with the 4.56s and 33s. This is what is suggested and gone with over and over on this forum and I have never seen anyone complain. 4.10 is the correct ratio with the 32 rh auto transmission.

I have a 4.0 5 speed with 4.56 gears and 33's it turns just under 3000rpm's at 70mph. The speedo gear has been changed so it reads correctly and I get 14 to 15 mpg in the city and 16 to 17 on the highway at 70mph I feel it is a perfect combo.

4.0, 5 speed. I run 305/70R16 tires which by math figure at 32.8", but the actual measurement is right at 32" installed. I am geared to 4:56 and at 65mph my tach is reading about 26-2700rpm. You won't have a problem with the 4:56's. It just means that you'll be shifting into 2nd gear half way across the intersection. My gas mileage tops out at about 14 (freeway) and can get as low as 12 (mostly surface streets) but as mentioned above, I didn't get a Jeep for gas mileage.
