AC leaking! Wet passenger floor board!

Hi everyone, I'm a new jeep owner. Just bought a 98 wrangler Sarah. The passenger floor board is soaking wet. The drain tube on the AC is dripping but there is also a drip coming from where the AC box on the passenger side floor under the dash is leaking also at the firewall. There is a foam type washer there that is soaked. What can I do to fix this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Attached is a picture of where it is leaking from.

I believe your Issue would be a leak at the Heater and not the AC Unit. The AC unit is a pressurized system of Freon Gas, (NOT LIQUID) and the Heater is filled with Coolant, (a liquid). If this is the case, it is in all likelihood your Heater Core is the Culprit and cause of your Leak. Does the "WETNESS" smell like Coolant, a sweet type of smell? (That is assuming you do have Coolant / Antifreeze in the Radiator) If THIS IS your issue, a leaking Heater Core, be advised, it is NOT A CHEAP FIX. All so quite labor intensive to replace.
You can in the meantime, bypass the Heater Core all together if the Repair can't be performed in the Immediate future. One other possibility could be the Cowl Drain could be plugged with Leaves or other Debris allowing Rain Water, or Wash Water to fill the Heater Box and overflowing into the Passenger Compartment. But if you haven't Washed your Jeep, or it hasn't been Raining, you can eliminate that as a cause.

I am having the same issue... will some one let me know exactly where the liquid drips from into the floor? I mean, if the core is leaking, does it run down the firewall and under the carpet, drip from the ducts onto the floor, etc? And same if the Cowl Drain; where exactly does the liquid come in at?

I just went out to clean the Jeeps interior, pulled the Husky Floor Liner out of the Passenger side to find the carpet soaked. I can't smell any antifreeze, but I'm not saying that's not what it is. I haven't noticed the Husky Floor Liner being wet on top at all. Would a pressure test do any good to figure it out? I do think my core is plugged; I have low temp heat, and a flush was on my plans for this weekend. Any advice would be much appreciated!

Well, I haven't been (and usually don't) using the A/C? I will still check this out.

And, I just noticed the title of this thread is "AC leaking! Wet passenger floor board!" Oops... I found it by searching for "Wet Passenger Floor."

Also, since my post I remembered that I had left my Jeep outside Saturday night and we had a LOT of rain, for most of the night. That's leading me to think it's the cowl drain. How to test? Fill the vent with water and watch?
